Andela Appoints Its First Female Country Director for Nigeria

Andela announced recently, its decision to appointment Omowale David-Ashiru as its Nigeria Country Director.

Omowale who obtained a First Class B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Ibadan describes herself as one who has a deep passion for people, an avid reader and loves adventure.

She had spent almost two decades in management consulting and entrepreneurship. She spent 11 years at Accenture, growing to become a seasoned management consultant and certified project manager.

Omowale then moved on to entrepreneurship, launching a fashion retail company which she managed for eight years.

Omowale will lead Andela Nigeria‘s team of over 500 people, ensuring that the organisation continues to advance its objectives of developing Africa’s future technology leaders.

Omowale expressed her excitement recently saying, “Everything I’ve done before now feels like a preparation for this role,”. “I’m excited to join this wonderful team of highly motivated individuals who are investing their skills and effort into advancing opportunity and potential in Nigeria and the continent at large.”
